to set every dancefloor on fire. Four rare tracks on one EP, that stands out as the essence of the Kadri`s only recording session in 1969.
Female singer Lamia is of turkish origin and impresses the listener with little alternations in the melodies, ranging between soul, black jazz, oriental stylings and gospel. She has a voice of unmistakeable characteristic and her unconventional vocal interpretations have style. Lamia is only singing what she is feeling – to make herself the perfect soul singer, providing vocal patterns from various cultural backgrounds, like only Lamia can do!
The rare tracks were pulled from the Kadri`s one and only record release ever: Immediately after the recordings for their first and long deleted debut LP “Lamia Soul Time” on the german Intercord label, the group disbanded and left no further trace until today. So this is the first re-release of these rare german funk nuggets for the benefit of the dedicated DJ and funk collector.
